Maxim Industries is delighted to announce the launch of our latest investment, a brand-new Warehouse Management System.
The WMS (warehouse management system) has been specifically developed by our IT support partners Frontline to work with our SAP system. The fully integrated system will help provide a solid platform to support of our projected future operational growth and help maintain our excellent levels of customer service ensuring that as our business grows, the service that we provide our customers doesn’t suffer.
Through handheld scanners, the fully integrated WMS gives us the ability to receive, transfer and locate stock. It can also streamline the process of pick and pack of stock whilst also counting stock with real time vision of our inventory holding.
Operations Director, Phil Lord who has overseen the project is excited about the new system. “It’s been a big project but a very important one. It’s vital that we keep our warehouse and our systems up to date with the latest technology so that we provide our customers with world class service”.
A major investment for Maxim, we are already seeing the benefits that the system can provide, with greater working efficiencies in the warehouse, more accurate stock availability and less mis picks to name a few.
The system has had a structured implementation with us having support from Frontline throughout the process. This ensured that we were able to continue with our day-to-day operations unhindered whilst the new WMS system was brought online.
